Actor Bhuwan KC won't give candidacy for Mayor of Kathmandu Metro
Actor Bhuwan KC announced that he won't give candidacy for Mayor of Kathmandu Metro. He has decided not to stand as candidate of Kathmandu metro due to technical reasons and his busy schedule.
He said, "I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for the trust and goodwill shown to me by the Advanced Democracy Party in deciding to nominate me for the post of Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City through its election symbol open book. It was also a bold decision of the Advanced Democracy Party and I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the common people for welcoming this decision.
As mayor of the metropolis, I am convinced that it is not unnatural for an artist to want to serve the people. But when I see the comments that an artist cannot serve the people as a representative of the people, I am saddened to realize how strong the one-sided attitude towards politics is still in Nepali society. But not because of those reactions, but because of technical reasons and busy schedule, I am unable to run for mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan
